1. Kūṭasuttaṃ

223. Evaṃ me sutaṃ – ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā sāvatthiyaṃ viharati jetavane anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāme. Tatra kho bhagavā bhikkhū āmantesi – ‘‘bhikkhavo’’ti. ‘‘Bhadante’’ti te bhikkhū bhagavato paccassosuṃ. Bhagavā etadavoca – ‘‘seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, kūṭāgārassa yā kāci gopānasiyo sabbā tā kūṭaṅgamā kūṭasamosaraṇā kūṭasamugghātā sabbā tā samugghātaṃ gacchanti; evameva kho, bhikkhave, ye keci akusalā dhammā sabbe te avijjāmūlakā avijjāsamosaraṇā avijjāsamugghātā, sabbe te samugghātaṃ gacchanti. Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, evaṃ sikkhitabbaṃ – ‘appamattā viharissāmā’ti. Evañhi vo, bhikkhave, sikkhitabba’’nti. Paṭhamaṃ.

2. Nakhasikhasuttaṃ

224. Sāvatthiyaṃ viharati. Atha kho bhagavā parittaṃ nakhasikhāyaṃ paṃsuṃ āropetvā bhikkhū āmantesi – ‘‘taṃ kiṃ maññatha bhikkhave, katamaṃ nu kho bahutaraṃ, yo vāyaṃ [yo cāyaṃ (bahūsu)] mayā paritto nakhasikhāyaṃ paṃsu āropito ayaṃ vā [yā cāyaṃ (syā. ka.)] mahāpathavī’’ti? ‘‘Etadeva, bhante, bahutaraṃ yadidaṃ mahāpathavī. Appamattakoyaṃ bhagavatā paritto nakhasikhāyaṃ paṃsu āropito. Saṅkhampi na upeti upanidhimpi na upeti kalabhāgampi na upeti mahāpathaviṃ upanidhāya bhagavatā paritto nakhasikhāyaṃ paṃsu āropito’’ti. ‘‘Evameva kho, bhikkhave, appakā te sattā ye manussesu paccājāyanti; atha kho eteyeva bahutarā sattā ye aññatra manussehi paccājāyanti. Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, evaṃ sikkhitabbaṃ – ‘appamattā viharissāmā’ti. Evañhi vo, bhikkhave, sikkhitabba’’nti. Dutiyaṃ.

3. Kulasuttaṃ

225. Sāvatthiyaṃ viharati…pe… ‘‘seyyathāpi , bhikkhave, yāni kānici kulāni bahutthikāni appapurisāni tāni suppadhaṃsiyāni honti corehi kumbhatthenakehi ; evameva kho, bhikkhave, yassa kassaci bhikkhuno mettācetovimutti abhāvitā abahulīkatā so suppadhaṃsiyo hoti amanussehi. Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, yāni kānici kulāni appitthikāni bahupurisāni tāni duppadhaṃsiyāni honti corehi kumbhatthenakehi, evameva kho, bhikkhave, yassa kassaci bhikkhuno mettācetovimutti bhāvitā bahulīkatā so duppadhaṃsiyo hoti amanussehi. 226. Sāvatthiyaṃ viharati…pe… ‘‘yo, bhikkhave, pubbaṇhasamayaṃ okkhāsataṃ dānaṃ dadeyya, yo majjhanhikasamayaṃ okkhāsataṃ dānaṃ dadeyya, yo sāyanhasamayaṃ okkhāsataṃ dānaṃ dadeyya, yo vā pubbaṇhasamayaṃ antamaso gadduhanamattampi mettacittaṃ bhāveyya, yo vā majjhanhikasamayaṃ antamaso gadduhanamattampi mettacittaṃ bhāveyya, yo vā sāyanhasamayaṃ antamaso gadduhanamattampi mettacittaṃ bhāveyya, idaṃ tato mahapphalataraṃ. Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, evaṃ sikkhitabbaṃ – ‘mettā no cetovimutti bhāvitā bhavissati bahulīkatā yānīkatā vatthukatā anuṭṭhitā paricitā susamāraddhā’ti. Evañhi vo, bhikkhave, sikkhitabba’’nti. 1. 屋顶经
如是我闻。一时，世尊住舍卫城祇树给孤独园。在那里，世尊对比丘们说："诸比丘。"那些比丘回答说："尊者。"世尊如是说："诸比丘，就像尖顶屋的任何椽子，全都朝向屋顶、汇集于屋顶、以屋顶为最高点，如果屋顶被摧毁，它们全都会被摧毁。同样地，诸比丘，任何不善法，全都以无明为根本、汇集于无明、以无明为最高点，如果无明被摧毁，它们全都会被摧毁。因此，诸比丘，你们应当如是学:'我们将不放逸地安住。'诸比丘，你们应当如是学。"第一。
2. 指甲尖经
住舍卫城。那时，世尊用指甲尖挑起一点尘土，对比丘们说："诸比丘，你们怎么认为，哪个更多?是我用指甲尖挑起的这点尘土，还是这大地?"[比丘们回答说:]"尊者，大地更多。世尊用指甲尖挑起的这点尘土很少。与大地相比，世尊用指甲尖挑起的这点尘土不及百分之一，不及千分之一，不及十万分之一。""同样地，诸比丘，转生为人的众生很少;而转生到其他地方的众生更多。因此，诸比丘，你们应当如是学:'我们将不放逸地安住。'诸比丘，你们应当如是学。"第二。
3. 家庭经
住舍卫城......[世尊说:]"诸比丘，就像任何女多男少的家庭容易被盗贼和抢劫者攻击;同样地，诸比丘，任何比丘如果没有修习、没有多修慈心解脱，就容易被非人攻击。诸比丘，就像任何女少男多的家庭难以被盗贼和抢劫者攻击;同样地，诸比丘，任何比丘如果修习、多修慈心解脱，就难以被非人攻击。因此，诸比丘，你们应当如是学:'我们的慈心解脱将被修习、多修、作为车乘、作为基础、确立、增长、圆满成就。'诸比丘，你们应当如是学。"第三。
4. 锅经
住舍卫城......[世尊说:]"诸比丘，如果有人在上午布施一百锅食物，在中午布施一百锅食物，在傍晚布施一百锅食物;或者有人在上午仅仅修习慈心片刻，在中午仅仅修习慈心片刻，在傍晚仅仅修习慈心片刻，后者的果报更大。因此，诸比丘，你们应当如是学:'我们的慈心解脱将被修习、多修、作为车乘、作为基础、确立、增长、圆满成就。'诸比丘，你们应当如是学。"第四。

Yāvadeva ca pana so puriso kilamathassa vighātassa bhāgī assā’’ti.

6. Dhanuggahasuttaṃ

228. Sāvatthiyaṃ viharati…pe… ‘‘seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, cattāro daḷhadhammā dhanuggahā susikkhitā katahatthā katūpāsanā catuddisā ṭhitā assu. Atha puriso āgaccheyya – ‘ahaṃ imesaṃ catunnaṃ daḷhadhammānaṃ dhanuggahānaṃ susikkhitānaṃ katahatthānaṃ katūpāsanānaṃ catuddisā kaṇḍe khitte appatiṭṭhite pathaviyaṃ gahetvā āharissāmī’ti. Taṃ kiṃ maññatha, bhikkhave, ‘javano puriso paramena javena samannāgato’ti alaṃ vacanāyā’’ti?

‘‘Ekassa cepi, bhante, daḷhadhammassa dhanuggahassa susikkhitassa katahatthassa katūpāsanassa kaṇḍaṃ khittaṃ appatiṭṭhitaṃ pathaviyaṃ gahetvā āhareyya – ‘javano puriso paramena javena samannāgato’ti alaṃ vacanāya, ko pana vādo catunnaṃ daḷhadhammānaṃ dhanuggahānaṃ susikkhitānaṃ katahatthānaṃ katūpāsanāna’’nti?

‘‘Yathā ca, bhikkhave, tassa purisassa javo, yathā ca candimasūriyānaṃ javo, tato sīghataro. Yathā ca, bhikkhave, tassa purisassa javo yathā ca candimasūriyānaṃ javo yathā ca yā devatā candimasūriyānaṃ purato dhāvanti tāsaṃ devatānaṃ javo, ( ) [(tato sīghataro. yathā ca bhikkhave tassa purisassa javo, yathā ca candimasuriyānaṃ javo, yathā ca yā devatā candimasuriyānaṃ purato dhāvanti, tāsaṃ devatānaṃ javo,) (sī. syā. kaṃ.)] tato sīghataraṃ āyusaṅkhārā khiyanti. 7. Āṇisuttaṃ

229. Sāvatthiyaṃ viharati…pe… ‘‘bhūtapubbaṃ, bhikkhave, dasārahānaṃ ānako [āṇako (sī.)] nāma mudiṅgo ahosi. Tassa dasārahā ānake ghaṭite aññaṃ āṇiṃ odahiṃsu. Ahu kho so, bhikkhave, samayo yaṃ ānakassa mudiṅgassa porāṇaṃ pokkharaphalakaṃ antaradhāyi. Āṇisaṅghāṭova avasissi. Evameva kho, bhikkhave, bhavissanti bhikkhū anāgatamaddhānaṃ, ye te suttantā tathāgatabhāsitā gambhīrā gambhīratthā lokuttarā suññatappaṭisaṃyuttā, tesu bhaññamānesu na sussūsissanti na sotaṃ odahissanti na aññā cittaṃ upaṭṭhāpessanti na ca te dhamme uggahetabbaṃ pariyāpuṇitabbaṃ maññissanti’’.

‘‘Ye pana te suttantā kavikatā kāveyyā cittakkharā cittabyañjanā bāhirakā sāvakabhāsitā, tesu bhaññamānesu sussūsissanti, sotaṃ odahissanti, aññā cittaṃ upaṭṭhāpessanti, te ca dhamme uggahetabbaṃ pariyāpuṇitabbaṃ maññissanti. Evametesaṃ, bhikkhave, suttantānaṃ tathāgatabhāsitānaṃ gambhīrānaṃ gambhīratthānaṃ lokuttarānaṃ suññatappaṭisaṃyuttānaṃ antaradhānaṃ bhavissati. Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, evaṃ sikkhitabbaṃ – ‘ye te suttantā tathāgatabhāsitā gambhīrā gambhīratthā lokuttarā suññatappaṭisaṃyuttā, tesu bhaññamānesu sussūsissāma, sotaṃ odahissāma , aññā cittaṃ upaṭṭhāpessāma, te ca dhamme uggahetabbaṃ pariyāpuṇitabbaṃ maññissāmā’ti. 8. Kaliṅgarasuttaṃ



住舍卫城......[世尊说:]"诸比丘，假设有一把锋利的矛。然后一个人来说:'我要用手掌或拳头把这把锋利的矛弯曲、折断、卷起。'诸比丘，你们怎么认为，这个人能用手掌或拳头把那把锋利的矛弯曲、折断、卷起吗?""不能，尊者。""为什么?""尊者，因为那把锋利的矛不容易用手掌或拳头弯曲、折断、卷起。那个人只会疲劳和痛苦。"
"同样地，诸比丘，如果任何比丘修习、多修慈心解脱，作为车乘、作为基础、确立、增长、圆满成就，即使非人想扰乱他的心，那个非人自己反而会疲劳和痛苦。因此，诸比丘，你们应当如是学:'我们的慈心解脱将被修习、多修、作为车乘、作为基础、确立、增长、圆满成就。'诸比丘，你们应当如是学。"第五。
6. 弓箭手经
住舍卫城......[世尊说:]"诸比丘，假设有四位训练有素、技艺精湛、经验丰富的弓箭手站在四个方向。然后一个人来说:'我要在这四位训练有素、技艺精湛、经验丰富的弓箭手从四面八方射出的箭还没落地时就抓住它们并带回来。'诸比丘，你们怎么认为，可以说这个人'是一个速度极快的人'吗?"
"尊者，即使只是一位训练有素、技艺精湛、经验丰富的弓箭手射出的箭，如果能在箭还没落地时就抓住它并带回来，就可以说那个人'是一个速度极快的人'，更不用说四位弓箭手了。"
"诸比丘，那个人的速度，以及日月的速度，比这更快。诸比丘，那个人的速度，日月的速度，以及在日月前奔跑的天神的速度，比这更快。寿命的消逝比这更快。因此，诸比丘，你们应当如是学:'我们将不放逸地安住。'诸比丘，你们应当如是学。"第六。
7. 鼓钉经
住舍卫城......[世尊说:]"诸比丘，从前，达萨罗哈人有一面名叫阿那卡的鼓。当这面阿那卡鼓破裂时，达萨罗哈人就在上面钉上另一个鼓钉。诸比丘，终有一天，阿那卡鼓的原来鼓面消失了，只剩下一堆鼓钉。同样地，诸比丘，在未来，当如来所说的甚深、意义深远、出世间、与空性相应的经典被诵读时，比丘们不愿意听，不愿意倾耳，不愿意以智慧理解，也不认为应该学习和精通这些法。"
"然而，当那些由诗人创作、词藻华丽、文字优美、外道所说、声闻所说的经典被诵读时，他们愿意听，愿意倾耳，愿意以智慧理解，也认为应该学习和精通这些法。这样，诸比丘，如来所说的甚深、意义深远、出世间、与空性相应的经典就会消失。因此，诸比丘，你们应当如是学:'当如来所说的甚深、意义深远、出世间、与空性相应的经典被诵读时，我们将愿意听，愿意倾耳，愿意以智慧理解，也认为应该学习和精通这些法。'诸比丘，你们应当如是学。"第七。
8. 木块经

230. Evaṃ me sutaṃ – ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā vesāliyaṃ viharati mahāvane kūṭāgārasālāyaṃ. Tatra kho bhagavā bhikkhū āmantesi ‘‘bhikkhavo’’ti. ‘‘Bhadante’’ti te bhikkhū bhagavato paccassosuṃ. Bhagavā etadavoca –

‘‘Kaliṅgarūpadhānā , bhikkhave, etarahi licchavī viharanti appamattā ātāpino upāsanasmiṃ. Tesaṃ rājā māgadho ajātasattu vedehiputto na labhati otāraṃ na labhati ārammaṇaṃ. Bhavissanti, bhikkhave , anāgatamaddhānaṃ licchavī sukhumālā [sukumālā (sī.), sukhumā (ka.)] mudutalunahatthapādā [mudutalāhatthapādā (syā. kaṃ.)] te mudukāsu seyyāsu tūlabimbohanāsu [tūlabimbohanāsu (syā. kaṃ. pī.), tūlabimbohanādīsu (sī.), tūlabibbohanādīsu (ka.)] yāvasūriyuggamanā seyyaṃ kappissanti. Tesaṃ rājā māgadho ajātasattu vedehiputto lacchati otāraṃ lacchati ārammaṇaṃ.

‘‘Kaliṅgarūpadhānā, bhikkhave, etarahi bhikkhū viharanti appamattā ātāpino padhānasmiṃ. Tesaṃ māro pāpimā na labhati otāraṃ na labhati ārammaṇaṃ. Bhavissanti, bhikkhave, anāgatamaddhānaṃ bhikkhū sukhumā mudutalunahatthapādā. Te mudukāsu seyyāsu tūlabimbohanāsu yāvasūriyuggamanā seyyaṃ kappissanti. Tesaṃ māro pāpimā lacchati otāraṃ lacchati ārammaṇaṃ. Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, evaṃ sikkhitabbaṃ – ‘kaliṅgarūpadhānā viharissāma appamattā ātāpino padhānasmi’nti. Evañhi vo, bhikkhave, sikkhitabba’’nti. 9. Nāgasuttaṃ



如是我闻。一时，世尊住毗舍离（现在的印度比哈尔邦）大林重阁讲堂。在那里，世尊对比丘们说："诸比丘。"那些比丘回答说："尊者。"世尊如是说：
"诸比丘，现在离车人以木块为枕，不放逸、热心、精进地生活。摩揭陀国阿阇世王韦提希子找不到机会，找不到把   来攻击他们。诸比丘，在未来，离车人将变得娇贵，手脚柔软细嫩。他们将睡在柔软的床上，枕着棉花枕头，一直睡到日出。那时，摩揭陀国阿阇世王韦提希子将找到机会，找到把柄来攻击他们。
诸比丘，现在比丘们以木块为枕，不放逸、热心、精进地修行。恶魔波旬找不到机会，找不到把柄来攻击他们。诸比丘，在未来，比丘们将变得娇贵，手脚柔软细嫩。他们将睡在柔软的床上，枕着棉花枕头，一直睡到日出。那时，恶魔波旬将找到机会，找到把柄来攻击他们。因此，诸比丘，你们应当如是学：'我们将以木块为枕，不放逸、热心、精进地修行。'诸比丘，你们应当如是学。"第八。
9. 象经

231. Evaṃ me sutaṃ – ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā sāvatthiyaṃ viharati jetavane anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāme. Tena kho pana samayena aññataro navo bhikkhu ativelaṃ kulāni upasaṅkamati. Tamenaṃ bhikkhū evamāhaṃsu – ‘‘māyasmā ativelaṃ kulāni upasaṅkamī’’ti. So bhikkhu bhikkhūhi vuccamāno evamāha – ‘‘ime hi nāma therā bhikkhū kulāni upasaṅkamitabbaṃ maññissanti, kimaṅgaṃ [kimaṅga (sī.)] panāha’’nti?

Atha kho sambahulā bhikkhū yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkamiṃsu; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ nisīdiṃsu. Ekamantaṃ nisinnā kho te bhikkhū bhagavantaṃ etadavocuṃ – ‘‘idha, bhante, aññataro navo bhikkhu ativelaṃ kulāni upasaṅkamati. Tamenaṃ bhikkhū evamāhaṃsu – ‘māyasmā ativelaṃ kulāni upasaṅkamī’ti. So bhikkhu bhikkhūhi vuccamāno evamāha – ‘ime hi nāma therā bhikkhū kulāni upasaṅkamitabbaṃ maññissanti, kimaṅgaṃ panāha’’’nti.

‘‘Bhūtapubbaṃ , bhikkhave, araññāyatane mahāsarasī. Taṃ nāgā upanissāya viharanti. Te taṃ sarasiṃ ogāhetvā soṇḍāya bhisamuḷālaṃ abbuhetvā [abbhūhetvā (ka.), abbāhitvā (mahāva. 278)] suvikkhālitaṃ vikkhāletvā akaddamaṃ saṅkhāditvā [saṅkharitvā (pī. ka.)] ajjhoharanti. Tesaṃ taṃ vaṇṇāya ceva hoti balāya ca, na ca tatonidānaṃ maraṇaṃ vā nigacchanti maraṇamattaṃ vā dukkhaṃ. Tesaṃyeva kho pana, bhikkhave, mahānāgānaṃ anusikkhamānā taruṇā bhiṅkacchāpā taṃ sarasiṃ ogāhetvā soṇḍāya bhisamuḷālaṃ abbuhetvā na suvikkhālitaṃ vikkhāletvā sakaddamaṃ asaṅkhāditvā ajjhoharanti. Tesaṃ taṃ neva vaṇṇāya hoti na balāya. Tatonidānaṃ maraṇaṃ vā nigacchanti maraṇamattaṃ vā dukkhaṃ.

‘‘Evameva kho, bhikkhave, idha therā bhikkhū pubbaṇhasamayaṃ nivāsetvā pattacīvaramādāya gāmaṃ vā nigamaṃ vā piṇḍāya pavisanti. Te tattha dhammaṃ bhāsanti. Tesaṃ gihī pasannākāraṃ karonti. Te taṃ lābhaṃ agadhitā amucchitā anajjhopannā [anajjhāpannā (sabbattha) ma. ni. 1 pāsarāsisuttavaṇṇanā oloketabbā] ādīnavadassāvino nissaraṇapaññā paribhuñjanti. Tesaṃ taṃ vaṇṇāya ceva hoti balāya ca, na ca tatonidānaṃ maraṇaṃ vā nigacchanti maraṇamattaṃ vā dukkhaṃ. Tesaṃyeva kho pana, bhikkhave, therānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ anusikkhamānā navā bhikkhū pubbaṇhasamayaṃ nivāsetvā pattacīvaramādāya gāmaṃ vā nigamaṃ vā piṇḍāya pavisanti. Te tattha dhammaṃ bhāsanti. Tesaṃ gihī pasannākāraṃ karonti. Te taṃ lābhaṃ gadhitā mucchitā ajjhopannā anādīnavadassāvino anissaraṇapaññā paribhuñjanti. 10. Biḷārasuttaṃ



如是我闻。一时，世尊住舍卫城祇树给孤独园。那时，有一位新比丘过于频繁地拜访俗家。其他比丘对他说："贤者，不要过于频繁地拜访俗家。"但那位比丘被告诫时这样说："这些长老比丘认为应该拜访俗家，为什么我就不行呢？"
于是，许多比丘来到世尊处，礼敬世尊后坐在一旁。坐下后，这些比丘对世尊说："尊者，这里有一位新比丘过于频繁地拜访俗家。其他比丘对他说：'贤者，不要过于频繁地拜访俗家。'但那位比丘被告诫时这样说：'这些长老比丘认为应该拜访俗家，为什么我就不行呢？'"

10. 猫经

232. Sāvatthiyaṃ viharati. Tena kho pana samayena aññataro bhikkhu ativelaṃ kulesu cārittaṃ āpajjati. Tamenaṃ bhikkhū evamāhaṃsu – ‘‘māyasmā ativelaṃ kulesu cārittaṃ āpajjī’’ti. So bhikkhu bhikkhūhi vuccamāno na viramati. Atha kho sambahulā bhikkhū yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkamiṃsu ; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ nisīdiṃsu. Ekamantaṃ nisinnā kho te bhikkhū bhagavantaṃ etadavocuṃ – ‘‘idha, bhante, aññataro bhikkhu ativelaṃ kulesu cārittaṃ āpajjati. Tamenaṃ bhikkhū evamāhaṃsu – ‘māyasmā ativelaṃ kulesu cārittaṃ āpajjī’ti. So bhikkhu bhikkhūhi vuccamāno na viramatī’’ti.

‘‘Bhūtapubbaṃ, bhikkhave, biḷāro sandhisamalasaṅkaṭīre ṭhito ahosi mudumūsiṃ maggayamāno – ‘yadāyaṃ mudumūsi gocarāya pakkamissati, tattheva naṃ gahetvā khādissāmī’ti. Atha kho so, bhikkhave, mudumūsi gocarāya pakkāmi. Tamenaṃ biḷāro gahetvā sahasā saṅkhāditvā [saṅkharitvā (pī. ka.), maṃsaṃ khāditvā (syā. kaṃ.), asaṃkhāditvā (katthaci)] ajjhohari. Tassa so mudumūsi antampi khādi, antaguṇampi khādi. So tatonidānaṃ maraṇampi nigacchi maraṇamattampi dukkhaṃ.

‘‘Evameva kho, bhikkhave, idhekacco bhikkhu pubbaṇhasamayaṃ nivāsetvā pattacīvaramādāya gāmaṃ vā nigamaṃ vā piṇḍāya pavisati arakkhiteneva kāyena arakkhitāya vācāya arakkhitena cittena, anupaṭṭhitāya satiyā, asaṃvutehi indriyehi. So tattha passati mātugāmaṃ dunnivatthaṃ vā duppārutaṃ vā. Tassa mātugāmaṃ disvā dunnivatthaṃ vā duppārutaṃ vā rāgo cittaṃ anuddhaṃseti. So rāgānuddhaṃsena cittena maraṇaṃ vā nigacchati maraṇamattaṃ vā dukkhaṃ. Maraṇañhetaṃ, bhikkhave, ariyassa vinaye yo sikkhaṃ paccakkhāya hīnāyāvattati. Maraṇamattañhetaṃ, bhikkhave, dukkhaṃ yadidaṃ aññataraṃ saṃkiliṭṭhaṃ āpattiṃ āpajjati. Yathārūpāya āpattiyā vuṭṭhānaṃ paññāyati. Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, evaṃ sikkhitabbaṃ – ‘rakkhiteneva kāyena rakkhitāya vācāya rakkhitena cittena, upaṭṭhitāya satiyā, saṃvutehi indriyehi gāmaṃ vā nigamaṃ vā piṇḍāya pavisissāmā’ti. Evañhi vo, bhikkhave, sikkhitabba’’nti. Dasamaṃ.

11. Siṅgālasuttaṃ

233. Sāvatthiyaṃ viharati…pe… ‘‘assuttha no tumhe, bhikkhave, rattiyā paccūsasamayaṃ jarasiṅgālassa vassamānassā’’ti? ‘‘Evaṃ, bhante’’. ‘‘Eso kho, bhikkhave, jarasiṅgālo ukkaṇḍakena nāma rogajātena phuṭṭho. So yena yena icchati tena tena gacchati; yattha yattha icchati tattha tattha tiṭṭhati; yattha yattha icchati tattha tattha nisīdati; yattha yattha icchati tattha tattha nipajjati; sītakopi naṃ vāto upavāyati. Sādhu khvassa, bhikkhave, yaṃ idhekacco sakyaputtiyapaṭiñño evarūpampi attabhāvapaṭilābhaṃ paṭisaṃvediyetha. Tasmātiha, bhikkhave , evaṃ sikkhitabbaṃ – ‘appamattā viharissāmā’ti. Evañhi vo, bhikkhave, sikkhitabba’’nti. Ekādasamaṃ.

12. Dutiyasiṅgālasuttaṃ



住舍卫城。那时，有一位比丘过于频繁地拜访俗家。其他比丘对他说："贤者，不要过于频繁地拜访俗家。"但那位比丘被告诫时仍不停止。于是，许多比丘来到世尊处，礼敬世尊后坐在一旁。坐下后，这些比丘对世尊说："尊者，这里有一位比丘过于频繁地拜访俗家。其他比丘对他说：'贤者，不要过于频繁地拜访俗家。'但那位比丘被告诫时仍不停止。"
[世尊说：]"诸比丘，从前有一只猫站在垃圾堆和墙角之间，等待捕捉一只嫩鼠，想着：'当这只嫩鼠出来觅食时，我就在那里抓住它吃掉。'诸比丘，然后那只嫩鼠出来觅食。那只猫抓住它，迅速地咀嚼后吞下。那只嫩鼠咬破了它的内脏和肠子。它因此而死亡或遭受濒死的痛苦。
同样地，诸比丘，这里有些比丘在上午穿好衣服，拿着衣钵进入村庄或城镇托钵，身不防护，语不防护，心不防护，念不现前，诸根不摄。他在那里看到女人衣着不整或披着不当。看到衣着不整或披着不当的女人后，贪欲侵蚀他的心。他因贪欲侵蚀的心而死亡或遭受濒死的痛苦。诸比丘，在圣者的律中，放弃学处回归低劣生活就是死亡。诸比丘，犯某些污染性的戒就是濒死的痛苦，这种戒是可以通过忏悔而出离的。因此，诸比丘，你们应当如是学：'我们将以防护的身，防护的语，防护的心，念现前，诸根摄护进入村庄或城镇托钵。'诸比丘，你们应当如是学。"第十。

住舍卫城......[世尊说:]"诸比丘，你们有没有听到昨晚后半夜老豺在嚎叫？""是的，尊者。""诸比丘，那只老豺患有一种叫做疥癣的皮肤病。它想去哪里就去哪里；想站在哪里就站在哪里；想坐在哪里就坐在哪里；想躺在哪里就躺在哪里；凉风吹拂着它。诸比丘，如果有人自称是释迦子却要经历这样的生存状态，那真是不幸。因此，诸比丘，你们应当如是学：'我们将不放逸地安住。'诸比丘，你们应当如是学。"第十一。
12. 第二豺经

234. Sāvatthiyaṃ viharati…pe… ‘‘assuttha no tumhe, bhikkhave, rattiyā paccūsasamayaṃ jarasiṅgālassa vassamānassā’’ti? ‘‘Evaṃ, bhante’’. ‘‘Siyā kho, bhikkhave, tasmiṃ jarasiṅgāle yā kāci kataññutā kataveditā, na tveva idhekacce sakyaputtiyapaṭiññe siyā yā kāci kataññutā kataveditā. Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, evaṃ sikkhitabbaṃ – ‘kataññuno bhavissāma katavedino; na ca no [na ca noti idaṃ sī. pī. potthakesu natthi] amhesu appakampi kataṃ nassissatī’ti [mā nassissatīti (sī. pī.), vinassissatīti (syā. kaṃ.)]. Evañhi vo, bhikkhave, sikkhitabba’’nti. Dvādasamaṃ.
